Amazon Relay: stop retyping loads, and see what Amazon paid

Haul for Amazon? Your Relay trips now arrive in the dashboard on their own, and Vektor turns them into settlements with each driver's pay worked out, so all you do is review and send. Connect it once in Settings, and the Relay Accounting extension for Chrome does the rest.

Amazon Relay: stop retyping loads, and see what Amazon paid

If you haul for Amazon, every Relay load is typed in twice: once in Relay and again in the dashboard. Then someone matches each Amazon payment to its loads and works out every driver's pay by hand. Connect Amazon Relay and the dashboard does that work for you: the Relay Accounting extension for Chrome reads your Relay account and keeps the dashboard up to date, and you only review and send.

Why connect it

No more retyping. Every Relay trip arrives as a tour, with one order per Amazon load and the driver and truck already matched. New trips come across every 5 minutes while Relay is open in a tab.

Driver pay is done for you. Once Relay trips are synced, Vektor builds the settlements and works out each driver's pay. All that is left is to review them and send.

Know what Amazon paid. Relay payments are booked on the orders they pay for, so you see which Relay loads are paid right in the dashboard, without going through Relay statements.

Check it without leaving Relay. Next to each trip and payment on relay.amazon.com you see whether it is already in your dashboard, and you can open it there in one click.

Your Amazon password stays yours. The extension works in the Relay tab you are already signed in to. We never see your Amazon password.

Connect it in three steps

1. Copy your API key. In the dashboard open Settings > Integrations > Amazon Relay. Click Connect (or New Connection), then Copy API key.

2. Add the extension and paste the key. Add the Relay Accounting extension from the Chrome Web Store and pin it to the toolbar. Click its icon, paste the key and click Connect.

In the extension, paste the key from the dashboard and click Connect.

3. Open Amazon Relay and keep the tab open. Sign in to relay.amazon.com and open Trips. Reload the tab if it was already open. The extension shows Connected and your trips appear under Planning > Tours.

What comes across

Once connected, the extension shows when trips, payments, drivers and trucks last synced, with Sync to send them now.

One tour per Relay trip. Each Relay trip becomes a tour named after its Relay trip ID, with one order per Amazon load. Trips from the last 15 days through the next 180 days are sent. With Auto on, trips are sent every 5 minutes while a Relay tab is open. Sync sends them right away. Orders are billed to the Amazon Logistics broker, which is added automatically if it is missing. Your company needs a default invoicing company.

Payments land on the right orders. Final Relay payments of the last 45 days are booked on the orders they pay for. It is safe to run again: nothing is booked twice.

Drivers and trucks are matched, not duplicated. Drivers are matched by phone, then name. Trucks are matched by unit number, plate or VIN. Anything unmatched does not block the import: a note on the manifest says what is missing. A driver deactivated in Relay is set to Terminated.

What you see on Relay. On the Trips page, each trip says whether it is already in your dashboard, with a link to open it, or a Sync button to send it now. On the Payments page, each payment is marked Synced, Partly synced or Not synced, with a Sync button. On the Driver Roster and Assets pages, you see which drivers and trucks are already linked, and Sync adds the rest.

On the Relay Payments page, each payment shows Synced, Partly synced or Not synced, with Sync to send it.

What the sync never changes. Trips that are already delivered, cancelled or TONU, and paid tours, are never changed by the regular sync. Each connection has its own API key, and the Activity tab shows everything the extension sent with it. Connections can be paused or deleted.

If something looks off

Check the extension status. Connected: all is well. Key rejected: paste the key again. Connection paused: resume it in Settings > Integrations > Amazon Relay. Connection deleted: create a new connection and paste its key. Disconnected: open or reload the Relay Trips tab.

How to use it

Start in Settings. Open Settings > Integrations > Amazon Relay and follow the three steps above. You need Google Chrome on a computer and an Amazon Relay login that opens Trips.
