Driver pay plans now live on pages of their own under Settings > Driver pay. Each plan shows what its rules pay on example loads, any load can be priced with it in a calculator, and a new version is checked against your test cases before it is published. Every amount on these pages is worked out by the same code that calculates your drivers' pay.
All your pay plans in one list
The top of the list: what needs fixing, the filters, and Test a load, From a template and New driver pay plan.
The list shows each plan with its rules, its version, how many people are on it and whether it is in effect. Filter by Company drivers, Owner-operators or Archived, and press / to search plans and rules. A strip at the top counts what needs fixing, such as drivers without a pay plan or loads with a pay problem, and links to the place where each one is fixed. Start a new plan from scratch or from a template.
Every rule, priced on an example load
Open a plan to see each rule with what it pays on, its rate and an example amount. Three worked loads (regional, long haul and local) show the driver pay for a whole load, line by line. The Drivers tab lists who is paid on the plan, and drivers who have no plan yet can be added one by one or all at once. A load is paid on the version in effect on its first pickup date, and the Versions tab keeps every earlier version.
Test a load, or a whole pay period
Test a load: how each rule was worked out, the driver pay, and the rules that did not pay.
Test a load prices one load with any plan: enter the first pickup date, the gross, the loaded and empty distance, stops and hours, and pick a driver to include their personal rates. The result shows how each line was worked out, and the rules that paid nothing say why. The A pay period tab prices up to 100 loads together with fuel and tolls, and a draft can be priced before it is published.
Test cases run before every publish
Any priced load or pay period can be saved as a test case: it keeps the input and the pay it must produce. Changes to a plan are made in a draft, where a rule opens in a side panel and a per-mile rate can be split into distance bands, each with its own example. When the draft is published from a date, every test case runs first, and publishing waits while any of them fails.
Bring open pay up to date
Needs attention: unpaid driver pay that no longer matches what pays the load, and what each manifest will become.
When a plan gets a new version, unpaid driver pay built on the older one can be rebuilt in bulk. A dry run shows what each manifest would pay before anything changes, rows can be left out, and the run is followed to the end. Needs attention lists unpaid driver pay that no longer matches what pays the load, and a manifest's Driver pay tab shows which version paid it and what the newer version would pay.
The plan as a PDF
Preview and Download on a plan build a PDF in your company's design: Modern, Classic or Ledger. The menu next to Preview shows the plan in any of the three designs without changing the company setting, which is chosen under Settings > Document Templates > Pay plans.
How to use it
Open Settings > Driver pay > Driver pay plans, or search settings for "pay plan". Test a load is at the top of the list and on every plan.
