Improvements 7
Posted loads now show analytics on how the posting is performing
- Why we changed it
- After posting a load there was no view of how it was doing, so there was no way to tell whether it needed a change.
- How it helps
- Dispatchers can see the response a posting is getting and decide whether to adjust the rate or repost.
- How to use it
- Open a posted load and check the posting analytics section.
Carrier bills carry the date the bill arrived, and age by the date it is actually due.
- Why we changed it
- A carrier bill was aged by the date it was entered, so a bill that arrived late looked overdue the moment it was keyed in and one that arrived early looked safe.
- How it helps
- Payables staff see when a bill reached you and how close it is to its own due date, so the ageing buckets match what the carrier will chase you about.
- How to use it
- Open the carrier bills list; the Bill Received Date column and the due buckets are there for every bill.
A facility can be created straight from an order draft, without leaving for the Facilities page.
- Why we changed it
- Building an order for a stop that was not in the system meant abandoning the draft, adding the facility elsewhere and coming back to start over.
- How it helps
- The stop is created where the order is being written, so a new customer location no longer interrupts booking.
- How to use it
- On an order draft, pick the stop field and choose to create the facility from there.
Load posting is available directly from the order details view
- Why we changed it
- Posting was a separate step away from the order the dispatcher was already looking at.
- How it helps
- The order and its posting live in one place, so fewer screens to move between while covering a load.
- How to use it
- Open an order and use the posting control in the details view.
You can connect a client from a new connection form in the dashboard
- Why we changed it
- There was no way to set up a client connection from the interface, so the link had to be arranged outside the product.
- How it helps
- Client connections are created where the client record lives, with the details entered and submitted in one place.
- How to use it
- Open the customer section and use the client connection form.
All 19 languages can now be picked from the language switcher in settings
- Why we changed it
- Only part of the available languages appeared in the switcher, so users could not select the rest themselves.
- How it helps
- Each user can set the interface to the language they work in without asking support to change it.
- How to use it
- Open settings and choose a language from the switcher.
The customer ID field now explains what to enter for the external tracking connection
- Why we changed it
- The help text around the customer identifier was unclear, so it was easy to enter the wrong value when setting up the integration.
- How it helps
- Fewer failed connections because the field says which identifier is expected.
- How to use it
- Open the integration settings for the customer and read the hint under the customer ID field.

Payout batch filters and column sorting work again, including sorting by receiver name, bank, description and batch
- Why we changed it
- Filters and sorting on the payouts batches table had no effect, and several columns could not be sorted at all.
- How it helps
- You can narrow down payout batches and order them by the column you care about instead of scanning the whole list.
- How to use it
- Open Accounting, go to payout batches and use the filters or click a column header.
Creating a batch in direct billing no longer fails
- Why we changed it
- Batch creation in the direct billing flow broke, so invoices could not be grouped and sent.
- How it helps
- Billing staff can build and send batches without workarounds.
- How to use it
- Create a batch from direct billing.
Pick-up and drop-off labels are no longer cut off at the top and bottom
- Why we changed it
- The labels were vertically clipped, so stop types were hard to read.
- How it helps
- You can read stop labels at a glance without guessing what is behind the clipped text.
- How to use it
- Nothing to switch on.
Splitting a shipment keeps you on the original tab instead of switching away
- Why we changed it
- After a split, the view jumped off the tab you were working in, so dispatchers lost their place and had to navigate back.
- How it helps
- You can split a load and carry on with the same order without re-finding it.
- How to use it
- Split a shipment from the order view.
Invite dialogs check the member's status before letting you send an invite
- Why we changed it
- The members dialog did not apply the same validation as the invite flow, so you could send an invite that could not succeed.
- How it helps
- You get the problem pointed out in the dialog instead of after sending, and duplicate or invalid invites are prevented.
- How to use it
- Open the members dialog and invite someone; the check runs as you type.
Money codes now open in Firefox
- Why we changed it
- In Firefox the money codes screen failed to open at all, so staff on that browser could not issue or look up a code.
- How it helps
- Money codes can be issued and checked from Firefox without switching browsers.
- How to use it
- Open Money Codes in Firefox.
Text that does not fit now ends with an ellipsis so you can tell it was cut off
- Why we changed it
- Long values were trimmed silently, so it was not obvious that something was missing.
- How it helps
- You can see when a value is longer than the space and hover or open the record for the rest.
- How to use it
- Nothing to switch on; it applies across the dashboard.
Filters on the 1099 report resize to fit their labels
- Why we changed it
- The filter controls had a fixed width, so longer labels were squeezed or cut.
- How it helps
- You can read the filter you are choosing before running the report.
- How to use it
- Open the 1099 report and use the filters.
Editing a draft saves the changes instead of losing them
- Why we changed it
- Updating a draft did not apply correctly, so edits could be dropped.
- How it helps
- Drafts keep what you typed and can be updated reliably.
- How to use it
- Open a draft and edit it as usual.
Sending an invoice updates the submission status right away
- Why we changed it
- The screen kept showing cached data after an invoice was sent, so the submission looked unchanged until a manual refresh.
- How it helps
- Billing staff see the current state immediately and do not re-send by mistake.
- How to use it
- Send an invoice; the submission refreshes on its own.
The Tolls page now shows its own name in the page title instead of another page's label
- Why we changed it
- The Tolls screen inherited a heading from a different table page, so it was easy to think you had opened the wrong section.
- How it helps
- You can tell at a glance which table you are on.
- How to use it
- Open Tolls.
Satellite view is available again on the map page
- Why we changed it
- The satellite layer had dropped out of the map page, leaving only the standard view.
- How it helps
- Dispatchers can switch back to satellite imagery to check yards, gates and terrain around a stop.
- How to use it
- Open the map and pick satellite mode from the view control.
Broker status is imported correctly again
- Why we changed it
- The broker status coming in from import did not resolve, so records could show the wrong or no status.
- How it helps
- Broker records show their real status, so staff can trust who is approved to work with.
- How to use it
- Nothing to switch on; imported brokers show the correct status.
A failed company data request no longer signs you out of the dashboard
- Why we changed it
- If the request that loads company details failed, the session was treated as invalid and the user was thrown back to the sign-in screen.
- How it helps
- A temporary hiccup loading company data leaves you where you were instead of ending your session and losing what you were doing.
- How to use it
- Nothing to switch on.
Inviting a customer user no longer fails partway through
- Why we changed it
- A missing internal connection made the customer user invite crash, so the invite never went out.
- How it helps
- Invites to customer users complete and the person receives them.
- How to use it
- Send the invite as usual; nothing to switch on.
Uploading a document no longer fails with an error
- Why we changed it
- The document processing client was not connected, so uploads to storage crashed.
- How it helps
- Documents upload and process as expected.
- How to use it
- Upload a document as usual; nothing to switch on.
