Settings grew faster than its menu. Finding one switch meant opening three sections and scanning each of them, and the pages themselves were a narrow column of older controls.
What changed
The layout is full width, in two columns. Related options sit side by side on current form controls, so a page is read rather than scrolled.
Search lands on the setting, not the section. Type what you are looking for and you arrive at the switch itself. The menu order was reworked to match how people actually move through settings.
Uploads take a dropped file. Any settings screen with an upload accepts a drag and drop instead of sending you through a file picker, and a driver record shows a summary strip with contacts inline.
Team changes are recorded as audit notes. Who changed what is the first question after a permission surprise, and it is now answered on the record.
Dialogs behave. Closing one with unsaved edits asks first, a successful save closes it, and a settings screen with nothing in it yet explains what it holds and offers the action that creates the first entry.
