Academy: role-based training, inside the dashboard

Pick the learning path for your role and work through it in order - short click-through guides and full video walkthroughs, with progress, milestones and a certificate at the end. 171 guides across seven paths, plus a team leaderboard so a manager can see who is up to speed.

Academy: role-based training, inside the dashboard

A new dispatcher usually learns the job by sitting next to someone for two weeks, and half of what they pick up is whatever that person happened to remember that day. The training that does exist is scattered: a video channel nobody links to, a PDF from last year, and one colleague's head.

Academy puts it in the dashboard, next to the work. Pick the path for your role and it tells you what to learn next.

What changed

Seven paths, one per role, each showing how many guides it holds. Pick the one that matches the seat you sit in.

  • Seven paths, one per role. Dispatch Basics, Broker Operations, Carrier Accounting, Broker Accounting, Safety & Compliance, Compliance Basics and Recruiting Basics - 171 guides across them. Each path is built for a seat in the office, so a dispatcher is never sent through payroll material to reach the dispatch board.
  • A guided path by default. The path opens in order: sections down the left, each carrying its own progress, and the next guide already in front of you. Finish a section and it moves you to the next one.
  • Two kinds of guide. Short click-through walkthroughs that show the exact clicks in the real screens, with their step count and how long they take, and full video tutorials for the bigger subjects, 7 to 37 minutes.
  • Progress that sticks. Every guide you finish is marked viewed, each section carries a percentage, and the banner counts your milestones and how many guides are left before the next one.
  • A certificate per path. Finish every section and you earn the certificate for that role. Download it, copy a share link, or add it to LinkedIn.
  • The whole library when you want it. Switch to the catalog to see everything at once: filter by section, sort unwatched first, or search the library and open the one guide you came for. Every guide has a share link, so you can send one to a colleague instead of explaining it twice.
  • A team leaderboard. The side panel ranks your team by how much of their path they have finished, with medals for the top three. Teammates who have not started yet are listed but not ranked.

Why it matters

The first visit asks which topic you want to start with, and the path is built from there.

A new hire can be useful on day one instead of week three: the path is built for the seat they were hired for, and they work through it between loads. "How do I clone a recurring order for a different PO" becomes a 30-second guide rather than a phone call to the person who is already busy. And a manager gets progress per person, which is a different thing from everyone promising they watched the videos.

It also keeps working after onboarding. When a feature is new to you, the guide for it is two clicks away in the same window as the work, so nobody has to go looking for a training folder.

How to use it

Catalog mode: search the whole library, filter by section, sort unwatched first. Click-through guides show their step count and how long they take.

Open Academy in the sidebar and pick the path that matches your role, then start at the top. Switch to Catalog mode any time to browse or search everything, and press / to jump straight into the search box. Your path and your progress are remembered, so you can leave in the middle of a section and come back to it.
